Hello everyone.
This is my configuration:
Mac mini, Apple M2
macOS Sonoma 14.6.1
UTM 4.5.3 emulator with AL8 (aarch64 and QEMU 7.2), 2048 MB RAM, 4 core CPU, 15GB vdisk
The AL9 version is perfect even with those few resources, fast and stable, the applications respond beautifully.
However, I need an environment in AL8 (AlmaLinux-8.10-aarch64-boot). I tried to install it and the time was very long. But using it is even worse. Impossible to use it. For example, if I use Firefox it freezes completely. I can use a terminal session with great difficulty.
I noticed that from UTM / QEMU I have to disable the Hypervisor otherwise at boot once the boot is chosen it returns to the selection menu without starting.
I knew about architectural problems with Silicon CPUs, apparently solved with version 9. But with 8 nothing to do…
Suggestions? Thanks
