Alma 9: where is usbmuxd?

Hi there!

I’m using AlmaLinux 9 KDE and I’m trying to access my iPhone’s files using ifuse but this does not works, saying that no device is connected.

From what I understand I need to install usbmuxd. The package seems to be available for AlmaLinux 8 but not AlmaLinux 9.

I installed Debian in a virtual machine, assigned the USB device id of my iPhone, and ifuse works, I am able to access my files. Interestingly enough, I can see a usbmuxd process in that Debian VM.

Any help would be appreciated!

Install usbmuxd-daemon on Red Hat Enterprise Linux using the Snap Store | Snapcraft states that one could use snapd.

Everyone hates snapd.
