I’ve also opened a ticket with Vultr (from whom I get my VPS) to see if they have a way to go about this… I think I can make it happen using “Reserved IP”; i.e., I can turn my current server’s IP address into a “floating one” and move it to the new server once I have all the software and databases / etc working on the new server.
I’ll try to document the steps I take and report back for a postmortem in case anyone else needs help.
