I have NVIDIA .run-drivers installed on Alma Linux 10.
Follow these instructions to install from .run: A03 R9 ❯ NVIDIA: Installation on 9.x | AlmaLinux Wiki
My additions:
- I have added /etc/modprobe.d/nvidia.conf with these settings (two lines):
options nvidia-drm modeset=1 fbdev=0
options nvidia NVreg_PreserveVideoMemoryAllocations=1 NVreg_TemporaryFilePath=/var/tmp
- I do a “sudo restorecon -Rv /” after driver install, before dracut. Makes sure SELinux labels are correct for the new driver files.
- I use driver version 550.163.01 because of issues with suspend/resume with newer drivers. If suspend/resume isn’t a factor for you, newer versions may work better for you.
