Hi everyone

about me… this ones is always hard. lol
I’m a woman from Sweden and i was born in the mid 70’s and have been using computers since 1987… and i ended up in IT business in the late 90’s… I have been on the windows side until i started to poke at Linux at home in 2018. when they announced that win7 will go EOL in 2020, so i needed a daily driver at home that wasn’t win10home/pro rolling editions as rolling editions on OS’s sucks when you need a long term stable OS that doesn’t change.

So i started on Mint18… then i jumped LMDE in late 2019 and then Debian in 2021 as LMDE had to short lifecycle.

I still run Win-server on my servers… But my plan → was ← to go to CentOS on my servers when i started to get a bit comfortable with Linux on my desktops and laptops… and then came IBM and the CentOS plan went out the window…

So now i have been listening to peoples conversations on the net for what to go now… and everyone is talking about Alma and Rocky as the solution of choices…

So here I am… new on AlmaLinux forums to restart my plan to go Linux on my servers.

And “newish” on Linux with only a few years on Linux at home… i will most likely ask some newbie questions on server solutions.
