Hi, I’ve been trying out alma-certify and on one system, the validate.storage.nvme-errorlog shows a single failure, nvme0: media_errors=1, but this also causes an overall certification FAIL in the summary.
Because this is on a desktop system not yet in the catalogue, I’d like to add it, but if I were to do that right now, I’d be requesting to add it with an overall FAIL, which if published, could potentially put off future potential users installing AlmaLinux on this model.
My current SSD is not the one the machine was shipped with, and I couldn’t find out the reason for this apparent media error, but I don’t believe an issue with my particular SSD should affect anyone else’s ability to run AlmaLinux on the same model of desktop. I looked into disabling the failing test via the terminal UI, but so far as I could see, I was only able to turn off/on a group of 3 storage tests, and it looked like disabling those may prevent the ability to add this as a new system.
I guess I could physically remove the SSD and re-run the tests from boot media, as I see some other community-approved systems present and PASSing with no NVMe devices, but are there any easier ways to handle this?
Thanks!
