One of my Alma Linux 9 system says “1 package needs a system reboot”. However, I have reboooted the system multiple times after a kernel update and the same message keeps re-appearing in Cockpit.
I ran the “needs-restarting -y” command which reported no reboot is required.

i noticed that with webmin, i’d ignore it, “dnf clean all” seemed to fix it so its not a real requirement to reboot. that’s web control panels for ya…
Did that but it did not clear the issue. Webmin is fine, Cockpit still indicates a reboot is needed. I even logged out and back again.
