I’m new to Alma and was hoping for some help with modifying the generic cloud image file for AlmaLinux 9.2
I’m looking to create a template for Proxmox which I’ve done before for CentOS 9 for example adding a few packages to the image file before creating the VM template.
The problem happens when I install the freeipa-client package the OS will not boot.
Running the following and creating a VM pretty much never boots.
virt-customize -a AlmaLinux-9-GenericCloud-latest.x86_64.qcow2 --install freeipa-client
The same process for other packages doesn’t cause any boot issues.
I wonder if anyone have seen this before.
And to note, this is not related to the CPU type config, that’s already set to host in both cases.
