mate-system-monitor shows processors. memory but network. Where is my problem?
Hello,
This can sometimes happen if the system monitor isn’t picking up the correct network device name.
Could you please run ip addr in a terminal and paste the output here? That will help us check your active network interface.
Thank you.

hi
Please run the following command to verify that the kernel properly recognizes the interface.
If wlp3s0 is not recognized, it may be a kernel issue.
In my case:
[redadmin@alma9 ~]$ cat /proc/net/dev

Hi,
here it is:
Thank you for your reply.
From the command results, I found the following:
Under /proc/net/dev, RX=0 / TX=0 (no successful transmissions or receptions), and TX drop=92 (number of packets discarded before transmission).
It seems the kernel side is suspect.
I apologize for the repeated trouble, but please run the following commands:
ip -s link show wlp3s0
cat /sys/class/net/wlp3s0/statistics/{rx_bytes,tx_bytes}
ping -c5 8.8.8.8
cat /proc/net/dev | grep wlp3s0
I greatly appreciate your assistance. Here is the output:
