AlmaLinux Kitten tested

Hello everybody,

I’ve just installed Kitten on one machine the other day and like to give a feedback.

As I like to use AlmaLinux as a desktop-system - which I know is not the main purpose, but its stable and a great system - I installed it on one of my laptops. First of all I found out I have to use the v2-image, the x86-64 image won’t start.
The installation process runs smooth as ever and I installed the minimal desktop.

Kitten gives a very good and smooth impression and I really like the idea to install a base system and the software needed as flatpaks - kind of atomic system.

The only drawback I found so far, is that some of the urgently needed aps (as turboprint or xsane) which are not available as flatpaks can, due to missing dependencies (EPEL?), not be installed…

Great work - thanks

Hello again,

What I did, and I know I shouldn‘t, I installed gtk2 from AlmaLinux and got at least turboprint working. That didn‘t work for xsane, but I‘m happy for the time being…
By the way, as a Visual Artist I must say: Great Art work!

Thanks, @Dimpflmoser! This is so great to see.
