I was trying to launch new aws instance for type c6a but it was not available with Alma Linux. As a fact of matter none of the 6 series instances are supported by Alma Linux. I was forced to use Rocky Linux as it was supported by them.
Will Alma be pushing changes related to new instance types any soon as I need to deploy few more instances on aws 6th gen instances.
New, updated images were launched about 5 hours ago which provided comparability with this instance type and others.
