Bring AlmaLinux to aws lightsail

Hi Guys,

Are there any plans to bring AlmaLinux to aws lightsail?

I know AlmaLinux is on the aws marketplace, but EC2 is not an option for us.

It just makes sense that it should be made available, given that aws are backers to AlmaLinux.

Hi @Ray. We are working on that one. Please make sure to open tickets with amazon as well and let them know. The more vocal we are the more they will hurry up.

I guess this is under the category of : “The solution doesn’t work for you” ?

Any chance that we get AlmaLinux v8 in Lightsail? only v9 appears to be available.
