Building an AlmaLinux server from scratch

Hi All. I am a refugee from Microsoft. I work for a small medical clinic in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. (About 20 client computers all converted to Linux Mint, and one Microsoft Server 2016. Router is pfSense on FreeBSD. Only 5 end users.) I would like a new physical server and AlmaLinux looks like the best fit for us, however, no one in our tech support industry (software/networking/hardware) wants to support it. They don’t know what it is, and are all part of the Microsoft Borg. So, I am looking to the Alma Community to get started.

First things first:

I need a list of AlmaLinux (or RHEL) approved hardware that I can provide to my computer parts retailer. I need everything that will go inside a server. Is there a comprehensive list somewhere?

My background includes building computer systems (among other things), but that was a while ago. I’m pretty sure I can handle this task, if given the right parts.

Thanks everyone!

If there is, then I don’t know where.

“Physical server” is very broad spec.

Hi jlehtone. You are not kidding. I’ve discovered

Red Hat certified hardware - Red Hat Ecosystem Catalog

This is what I needed. Maybe I should just delete my original post.
