Creating and attaching the volume to the VM for extending the root volume

With AlmaLinux8.5.qcow2 image, Not able to extend the root volume as there is no physical volume , volume group and logical volume found.

PLease provide solution so that when I spin a VM from Community provide AlmaLinux.qcow2 image on Openstack, how to extend tyhe root partition.

With the provided qcow2 image , there is no physical volume, volume group and logical volume.
