Delete account option

There should be an option for users to delete their own account. Such an option is generally considered good practice and is a requirement in some jurisdictions (such as the EU and the UK).

Hi beepmode,

This exists already, as part of Discourse, which this forum runs on. This is how you get to the delete account button:

  1. Click on your profile picture
  2. Look down in the dropdown menu for the profile button. Click that.
  3. Now click Preferences → Account

You should see a Delete My Account button at the bottom. This will do the trick : )
