do you know if icecast2 is supported? and if there is a repo?
I haven’t found one, so i build one for myself from centos7 rpms.
The only thing you will need to do is enable powertools repo:
dnf config-manager --set-enabled powertools
But it would be nice if someone point me into right direction of how to ask make it compiled and added into repos.
Hi @stefanenkog and @mesb ,
Please, join us with the testing of Icecast 2 and Ezstream on the bug report: 0000480: icecast missing - MantisBT .
Once we finish the tests, they will be available on the Synergy Repository | AlmaLinux Wiki
Looks like mantisbt broken - i can’t leave any comment anymore.
Also ezstream is quite old, its only 0.6.0 while fedora had fresh 1.0.2.
Please take a look for icecast push into repos @lkhn
Where are you getting ezstream from? It’s not in EPEL, Synergy, etc.
@charles2 it’s a test repo on build.almalinux.org
Unfortunately I have discussed this moment with @lkhn already via mattermost, so it’s not possible to build it fresh for alm8.
So I will think to move on alm9 with my streambox after all preparations.
The Fedora 34 packages for Icecast & Ezstream are compatible with AlmaLinux 9.5. Currently these are the latest versions but Fedora 34 is out of support so they won’t be updated if there’s a new upstream release.
Here are the RPMs:
Right now packages are into synergy repo.
Our test env works with alm8+icecast+ezstream flawlessly.
Looking forward for prod env goes with alm9 also.
I already make it work with alm9
Confirmed, our streaming infrustructure moved to alm9 not a long time ago.
Icecast works with no issue.
