. So a short intro about me, I am Usman, works at Grafana Labs as a DevRel and also a big fan of AlmaLinux and looking forward to contribute to it more.
As some you might be using Grafana to visualize data, but if you are specifically using Grafana Loki to visualize log files and using Promtail (the default agent that send logs to the Loki server), then please note that:
Promtail (default agent for Grafana Loki) will be End-Of-Life by March 2026.

It means that:

No more new releases of any security patches
-
No Bug fixes or new improvements
The only way to move forward is to replace your existing Promtail with Grafana Alloy
For that, I have created this video tutorial that explain a very detailed step-by-step instructions on how to migrate your your existing Promtail configuration files (for your Grafana Loki deployments) to Grafana Alloy and still keep using Loki and not re-create your dashboards, Loki queries.
This tutorial is also for those users who are new to Grafana Alloy and can easily get started to deploy it on their machine with minimal effort.
