I have AlmaLinux 9.3, and after installing the latest updates and rebooting the machine, I received the following error message:
Error: …/…/grub-core/disk/diskfilter.c:916: diskfilter writes are not supported.
I attempted to boot into rescue mode using a USB drive, but I am unable to access the boot menu to select the USB drive. To make matters worse, the BIOS password is unknown. I could reset it by clearing the CMOS, but this would reset all BIOS settings, not just the password. I’m afraid if I do this it will mess up the software raid settings I set up for the OS.
Does anyone have any suggestions please?
