Is kitten to alma as stream is to rhel?

probably a daft question, but I’m just feeling my way around
thx

No:
First, this is not “AlmaLinux Stream.” CentOS Stream is a product of the CentOS community–it’s the ultimate destination of the CentOS community’s work.
But, perhaps that is more out of respect than anything else?

The Register has an article from last month about it, if it helps.

It seems to be a similar concept to stream and said article does say
" Taking a longer-term view, AlmaLinux Kitten is derived from CentOS Stream 10, and it is an internal upstream of what will in time become AlmaLinux 10."
But, (again from the same article)
"There are already a bunch of changes to differentiate Kitten from its CentOS Stream 10 upstream. "

So, it seems a similar, though not identical, concept.

Thanks @scottro - it was that article that piqued my interest. (Added link to my quote.)

Kitten is essentially a development ground for AlmaLinux 10 development, and once AlmaLinux 10 comes out Kitten will be removed.
