M8i Instance Types Not Supported on AWS

We’re unable to launch or upgrade m8i EC2 instances that use the AlmaLinux 9.7 or 8.7 AMIs. M8i-flex instances are supported, but not the standard m8i.large, m8i.xlarge, m8i.2xlarge, etc., instance types.

AMIs:
AlmaLinux 9.7: ami-0d46854b1a684e6c8
AlmaLinu 8.7: ami-0a38d2e6fc44a2ac8

Error:
The instance configuration for this AWS Marketplace product is not supported. Please see the AWS Marketplace site for more information about supported instance types, regions, and operating systems.

Can you please add support for these instance types to those AMIs, so we can complete in-place upgrades from m7i to m8i?

Thank you.

Thanks for the heads up. I just pushed a fix to AWS so by the time you see this reply, it should work

Thanks so much! We’re all set on the m8i instances now. I just realized we have the same issue with the c8i instances. Could you please make that update as well?

Thank you again.

Update to enable c8i types is rolling out now.
