Mouse Logitech MX Master 3s with a USB bolt o AlmaLinux 10.1

I want to pair the mouse with a bolt but the mouse and the bolt don’t pair. Also I was looking for solaar app, which was recommended on Internet, but it is not in AlmaLinux repos.

On the other hand, some users on other Internet forums reported, that this mouse is working on Linux without solaar app also.

When I insert the bolt into my laptop, the output from journalctl -f reports: failed to fetch the number of pairing slots: failed to send: failed to write: wrote -1 of 7

From the report it is to see also, that the bolt was recognized as a Logitech USB receiver, which is correct.

Any recommendations what should I do?

Thanks.

Note: I am not using a Bluetooth.

It is in EPEL 8 and EPEL 9. The “most recommended” action is to create a request for EPEL to build solaar package for EPEL 10 targets.

If you cannot wait for that to complete, then take source RPM from EPEL of Fedora and build the package yourself, with mock.

That is because once the mouse is paired with Logi Bolt, it does not require any drivers. (The solaar is not a driver, just a tool to create the pairing.)

I bet that the Logi Bolt does essentially say: “I don’t know anybody yet” and the above is how it translates.
