Please let me know how fast security updates are applied as soon as RHEL announces.

You could look at https://errata.almalinux.org/ and compare those to RHEL announces.

I know for a fact that AlmaLinux has released some security updates before RHEL had them. Not bad for a free distro, is it?

Thanks for the answers provided so far. I have fair idea of Alma now. But I do really want to understand followings when compared to RHEL

  1. Volume of Alma Deployment base in terms of popularity?
  2. Timeline for Security updates?
  3. Delay in Routine bug and functional fixes?
  4. Delay in OS release ?
  5. Is there any reference to mission critical?
