Suggestions for the Linux Workshop

Hello,
The International Open Source Software Workshop will be held soon. In this workshop, we plan both theoretical and practical sessions on the historical development, cultural impact, and technical aspects of open source software.

Topics we are considering:

  • History of Open Source Software

  • Open Source Culture

  • The role of open source operating systems

  • Linux and AlmaLinux (architecture, distributions, use cases, AlmaLinux’s place in the community)

  • Virtualization and virtual machines

  • Open source–based server infrastructures

  • UML diagrams

  • Version control systems (Git, etc.)

  • Mini competition (Linux commands, Git usage, UML diagram drawing)

We would like to dedicate a separate section to AlmaLinux. In your opinion, which features of AlmaLinux should be highlighted as a standalone topic?

I would love to hear your thoughts:

  • Are there any additional topics you would suggest, or important points that could be added to these?
