My firefox home page keeps getting changed without my permission to

which apparently is alma linux asking for money, marketing etc…
Is this normal? How do I turn it off?

I don’t use “home page” – have no use for such thing – so cannot say what is normal.
I see no request for money on that, just info about AlmaLinux.
Although, donations of sweat are probably appreciated.
Hello Chiperoo.
“which apparently is alma linux asking for money, marketing etc…”
Absolutely not. this page about ‘Contributing’ mean it should trigger a question in your brain : -“How may I help ?”. Nothing related to your credit card.
To answer to your question about Firefox, we (the community) need a little more of the context.
The changes may come from updates.
Open your browser, a new tab and enter this in the URL field:
about:preferences#home
Did you have the default Firefox page setting ?
Did you changed the drop down menu to personalise your page, then it changed ?
In this last case, are you using Firefox on a personal computer or in Enterprise ?
Does your computer is set up to use dnf-automatic ?
If you known a little bit about security what is the status of your ACL (SELinux) ?
Look at your user’s preference file:
→ To go to your Firefox Profile Folder, again, in the address bar:
about:support
find “Profile Folder”, and click “Open Folder”. Look at the ownership, persmissions, ACLs.
In a terminal I would do:
ls -lrtaZ user.js
Have a look at a file named “user.js”
