The live session images have an installed system on them, and some do have content from third-party repos (for example, the KDE). The live session does have “run installer” and may install also some third-party content (again, the KDE) for convenience.
The question is thus for the creators of the live images: is it possible to include a driver into the “run installer” process?
I never use the live images, only the install images (which should have no third-party content).
Just to add to what @toracat posted. I’m glad that our kmod-wl is working on your old Macbook on Alma 10.2. I don’t have a BCM4360 card, so it’s good to hear that it’s supported.
As a side note, I personally don’t use the Live images. I’m not entirely sure how the Broadcom wireless card was working though since the “wl” driver is not included.
